Or make them worse? I'm currently on Low Ogestrel (28) but since I started it a few years ago my Migraines have gotten much worse.

  1. Condoms, Coil or a Dutch cap

  2. The endocrine is a system of complex relationships and when you take hormone therapy that birth control is, you are affecting not just one organ, the ovaries, but ALL the endocrine organs.  Drug companies are quick to point out that birth control is safe and effective.  Safe?  What do they mean safe?  It doesn't kill you?  It doesn't affect you adversely?  ALL drugs affect you in many ways.  This is where the term "side effects" were invented.  To make you feel better when taking a drug.  You get a headache; that's just a side effect.  lol.

When you take ANY birth control pill you are making a desperate attempt to control your endocrine system.  There is a feed "back loop" built into the body for a reason.  This feed back loop is designed to send messages to your hypothalamus gland to regulate many functions in the body.  Your metabolism, for one.  The body is a delicate mechanism designed to be healthy.  When you mess with these systems, you are not going to be healthy.  There are many other birth control methods that you should look at and stay completely away from the pills.  Drug companies are not about health, they are about profit.   Money doesn't talk, it screams.

Typically headaches come from a toxic colon, hormonal imbalance (from the birth control pills), toxic liver, and heavy metal toxicity.  Weak adrenal glands will cause migraines.  The adrenal gland is part of the endocrine system, just as your pancreas and thyroid.  When the adrenal glands are weak, many other problems happen as well, such as digestive issues in the large intestines.

    good luck to you

  3. I am assuming you have already ruled out food and stressors as causes.

Your migraines could be caused by the hormone released from the birth control, so I would recommend coming off hormone related birth control for a few months and see if you get any improvement in your migraines. It may take a few months to get your body back on a normal system so don't give up if you don't see an improvement right way.

Switch to condoms, sponges or a diaphram as they are the only birth control choices that I am aware of that do not have hormones.

    I hope that helps. :)

  4. Condoms
