Question:

What kind of Chinese fruit is this?

A guy at work that had visited China described it as a small fruit with a tough skin that you peel off to eat the inner fruit which resembles a grape. He also said that it has a large pit in the middle. He said that they even had them on the plane that he was on. Any help would be great!
