I have Verizon DSL as my internet provider and its been good for me. But i have a problem.

i have a 3 cordless phones in my house and the main one is the ONLY one hooked up to the internt/phone outlet. That one is also hooked to a filter. So basically when the phone rings it sends a signal i guess and the other phones ring to.

Thats when the problem comes in. i get interference on the net and it dis connects for a couple of seconds. Same ahppens when either of those phones hang up.

I just want to know if theres a way to solve this or do i need a specific filter for the other 2 cordless phones

  1. you sound like you have an expandable handset cordless phone, where there is only 1 main base, and the other cordless phones sit on chargers only, that are not connected to a phone jack...

you only need to have a filter connected to the phone that is connected to the phone jack, replace or add a 2nd filter on this phone if the filter is causing troubles...

however sounds like the phone may be a 2.4 ghz phone and having interference with a wifi router in your home...

    log into your router http://192.168.1.1

try the default user name and password for your router, usually admin/admin, (blank)/admin, or something similar, check the user manual for the router, or the routers webpage, once logged in change the channel the router uses...

also try moving the base unit away from the router if they are located near by..

  2. every phone in the house needs a filter...!

  3. I would but 3 new filters from wal-mart and replace them all. First sounds like your main filter to that phone might be skrewey, and you should have a filter to each phone for various reasons.
