What kind of DV camera should I get?

I want to step up my shorts with a high quality camera, but I don't know what to get. I was looking at the canon gl2 and xl1s, but can't decide. Should I spend that much even? Is it worth the money?

Here's my youtube channel (for what I've already done):

  1. That s good one but the volume is low. Maybe it is because your camera is of low quality. This due the low quality picture production. The people dancing there were not clearly show.

Buy Samsung SC-D372 MiniDV Camcorder. Its wounderful. Thats the one I bought from http://digitalcameras.fateback.com/Camco... Its very good and has zoom.

  2. go with hdv. it offers more versatility and will do a better job if you happen to do a blow up to projection if you so desired.

  3. If you are looking at either of those and have doubts, consider the Canon HV20, HV30, Sony HDR-HC7 or HC9. They are less than the two you are looking at, they can shoot in standard definition and high definition, they all have mic-in jacks and manual audio control, have manual focus, zoom and exposure... and are smaller than the the GL2 or XL series.

I *would* suggest that given the compression YouTube (and MySpace applies, perhaps even less camera is needed to meet your requirements... but you *could* start using www.vimeo.com and embed back to YouTube (I think)...
