What kind of DVD player plays DVD-R's??

I have a ton of movies but they won't play on my DVD player..

You may have an older DVD player.  Most of the newer ones will play DVD-R's but there is no guarantee until you try it.   You may have to get a new player.  It is good that they are pretty cheap now.

Pretty much any DVD player created in the last 5-10 years should be able to play a DVD-R.  It will say on the unit itself (there will be an icon for DVD +/- R).

If it is not an old player, the disc might just not be created properly, which is a problem I ran into when I first started creating DVD-Rs.
