What kind of Digital SLR camera should i buy?

Question

Ok, so i have been interested in photography for about 2 years now. I take pictures/shots with a sony cybershot, but now i want to go further and try with a slr camera. I really like Nikon, but i'm not sure which one would be the best buy. thanks so much for your help.

ps. i'm willing to spend around 700 dollars on this.

I were you, i would just go to the store and get one, because by the internet its not very reccomendale to buy a camera.

I would check out www.dpreview.com - it is a web site where people have given reviews about all the latest and greatest cameras.  Then, decided which features and the price you want to pay!

Nikons are AWESOME!  I know you will love any of their cameras.

I personally own the Nikon D80, I payed more that $700.00 for it when it came out.. but now with the introduction of the D3, and the D700 the Nikon D80 prices has dropped off alot

It boast lots of great features, including the 10.2 Mp censor which you can make prints to poster size... also here's a thought (only a thought) to get more bang for your buck maybe you would consider buying a used D80 for around $450. - $ 500. the you could get a decent lens or even a speedlight.... good luck with whatever camera you buy.......shoot alot and shoot often
