  1. It is most likely that all dinosaurs died out at the same time, those such as the Tyrannosaurus rex, but there have been finds which suggest that hadrosaurs outlasted Katie (K-T) at least until the Paleocene. I find these finds somewhat dubious, but they are there in any case. See the source below for more info.

    Other than that, there have also been rumours and legends of giant dinosaurs (particularly Diplodocus) in the Africa jungle called by locals as Mokele Mbembe. This may hypothesize that dinosaurs never did die out at all! Hope this helps.


  2. There is no reliable way to get even close to an good answer for this.

    Fossilization is very rare, it is quite certain that we don't even know about most of the species that existed in the past, as for when then went extinct, we have absolutely no good way of being sure. It is quite possible that for 1 million years, not one fossil of a species formed, but he species still existed.
