  1. Any card with 2 VGA outputs. Since it's a Dell, you video card might be integrated, which means you would have to get a whole new motherboard in order to get a new video card. If you have any other kind of output device on your original video card, try finding a VGA adapter to use on the output. Otherwise you will have to buy a whole new tower setup in order to get dual monitors.

  2. you need one with 2 DVI or VGA adapters on it is all there are plenty

  3. Most performance cards these days have two video outputs. Buy something from nVidia, they make the best cards. I would suggest an 8600 as they are cheap and work quite well. If you will be gaming, get something in the 8800 series.

  4. If you're running XP or higher, you don't HAVE to have a dual output video card. You can just install 2 separate cards. XP will handle the details. But as is mentioned, there are a plethora of dual-head cards that will also work. Just watch the power requirements. A lot of high-end cards require a high-output power supply which the 4600 may or may not handle.
