What kind of Ecology is this? Is it possible to be in multiple branches of biology/zoology?

Question

I would like to study the way organisms use their environment and the relations between different multi celled organisms. What kind of Ecology is this called. Also is it possible to be in more than one branch of zoology (ex. mammalogist studying mammals and ornithology studying birds) and in parts of ecology.

I'm not sure what you are saying, but there is something called Wildlife Ecology that might be what you are looking for.  And yes, you can be in more than one branch, but most likely you will get a job in what you love most and eventually one of the branches will interest you more than the other.  You usually end up working in one and dabbling in the other (in your spare time).
