  1. just get the cheapest one you can find, theres no point in going to best buy or future shop and getting their cables since monster  cables are the only ones they sell and they are ridiculously overpriced.  go to any local zellers or walmart or something and get one there

  2. My husband and I got one from the Apple store and it works great with our ps3 and they are only 29.99. HDMI cables are one of the biggest rip offs so don't fall for the ones that are expensive because they are all the same.

  3. monoprice.com has cables for under 10 dollars.  You don't ever need to spend anymore than that on a HDMI cable.

  4. I agree completely with the first 2 responses.  You do not need to spend a fortune on HDMI (or audio cables or any other cables for that matter).  Cables that have gold plated connectors that are gold coated are better, but most are, and you don't really get any noticeable benefit from all of the "better shielded" cables.

Recently I have seen very expensive cables advertised that use silver coated contacts.  It is true that silver has the highest electrical conductivity of all common metals; it also corrodes (tarnishes) so the  contact interface is going to degrade and there is no way to stop it.  Gold, on the other hand, is a noble metal, meaning that the contact will not degrade with time.

So don't buy the hype - vote with your dollars!
