What kind of Poetry?

What is your favourite type of poetry? Do you have a preferred style? Movement? Poet?

To me, the best poetry is that in which the poet's **theme** matches his or her poetic **technique.**  There are many poets who excel at this, but I really like Walt Whitman: you can clearly see the links between his groundbreaking technique -- long, unstructured lines, lots of repetition -- and his dramatic, never-been-seen-before (in the 1850s!!) bold, frank, language.  Please read "Song of Myself" at some point in your life!

those ones which express a lot of pain

but i also likes poems which sounds more like a bunch of phrase

to rhyme for me is important in poetry
