What kind of Tarot Cards should I get as a beginner?

I checked your link and that is the exact deck that I was going to suggest.

A lot of books are written referencing this deck (more than any other I would say)

Most beginner classes use this deck to teach

symbolism in this deck is easier to learn.

Once you learn this deck you can move on to a deck that you feel drawn to.

Can't beat Sadhara's answer.  That's your best choice.

Don't get a Marseilles style (no pictures on the pip cards) deck; don't get a Thoth-style deck (at least, not for your first deck).  You'll find most Tarot books use Rider-Waite-Smith (RWS) style decks for their illustrations.  The Hanson-Roberts deck is very, very friendly.

The Rider Waite are one of the best for newbies, I have studied them for over 20 years & teach tarot via the RW, so a good choice.



If you can get the ones coloured by Mary Hanson Roberts as they are pastils & very clear.
