I'm new to playing Tennis. I'm getting lessons three times a week form a local pro so I could play Tennis for my High School when school starts back up. I have been using my Grandfathers tennis racket and i think its time that I get my own. Any ideas on what kind of racket should I get?

  1. You should get whichever racquet feels comfortable.

  2. I personally have used many different brands and price ranges, what really matters is what type of racket is best for you.  I would ask your tennis pro or coach to try out racket's that they have or have them refer a racket to you.  Also you should try to play with the raquet before you buy it so you know that you like it and didn't waste money.

  3. wilson or head

  4. Prince O3 White is a great racquet with a good blend of power and control. Has a nice weight and feels great. Babolat Pure Drive Standard may also be another racquet you want to consider. It is about the same as the O3 White. I much prefer Prince's line of O3 racquets because it allows a fast swing speed... and it has a larger sweetspot. I hit a lot more decent shots with the O3 racquets than with other brands.

Before you buy, demo the racquets at Tennis Warehouse. They cost as little as $11.50 for two racquets, and you get to keep them for one week. The great thing about it is, you don't have to pay for shipping when you return in back. The return label is included.

You may also want to ask you tennis instructor about which racquet fits your playing style best. He or she will give you recommendations and a lot of info.

  5. Head Liquidmetal 8 ,Prince O3 Speedport Red ,Head Protector Oversize

    you can use

  6. It really doesnt matter what brand you use, but i recommened not a really cheap one. when you do go get one make sure that it has a shock absorber, a good grip, and sqeeze the strings and if they don't make a cracking sound  or move than it's a good one.
