  1. your family doctor can prescribe them. if he feels that you also need to talk to someone, he will refer you to a psychologist so you can get the help you need. hope you feel better soon.

  2. Your family doctor, gyn, or a psychiatrist can all prescribe them for you.  Go to whichever you would feel the most comfortable talking to about it.  Good luck!

  3. Do not take Zyprexa....it has been linked to causing diabetes.

  4. Just go to whoever you normally go to. But before you even do that, do your research!! i cannot stress this enough. There are so many different types of antidepressants and so many side affects. Also, be beware of bipolar disease. Sometimes a person who is bipolar will only become concerned when they feel depressed and not mention to their doctor the times when they feel elated or "high on life" (so think about this!) but definitely look up what medications are best for your symptoms and age. Any doctor will of course do his or her best to give the right medication for your problem, but no one knows you better than yourself. Make sure you also investigate the side effects of certain medications, try the most common ones like prozac or zoloft that your doctor will probably prescribe first. Also changing antidepressants is a hard thing to do. I'm not trying to scare you, but it's best if you know what you are doing.

  5. Your regular doctor will be able to prescribe them for you. He/she may want to refer you to a therapist as well.
