What kind of a surfboard should i get

I'm a beginner at surfing i weigh around 120 and am probably 5'4 I'm a pretty fast learner and think a long board would get old fast i want a board that will give me a good feel of the wave, and also what brand?

just rent boards until you see what you like.    rent a long board and see how it is, then rent a shortboard, then a funboard and just see what you like.  Nobody online can tell you what you like

Good feel of the wave: handmade fiberglass. Brand names aren't important. Go to a local surf shop and ask what they recommend for your skill, weight, and break. They may have some clean handmade glass boards used at a good price.
