What kind of activities should I do when babysitting 3 boys?

I'm 13, this would be my first babysitting job, though I've helped out at the daycare where these three boys go, and I know them...their ages are roughly 6, 4, and 1. I'm thinking of maybe bringing a friend to help out because it's my first time. But I still can't think of how to keep them occupied and wear them out for 6 hours or however long it is. Thanks!

play video games ,watch movies,go to the park,....but NO chick flicks

Definitely have a friend over. You're only 13, and 3 kids are a lot for an adult to handle. My advice, first pick an activity that the six year old and four year old can do together. Maybe hide and seek. Keep the one year old in the living room watching a video (maybe keep him in a play pen or something). You go find the 6 and 4 year old, but put limits on where they can hide (like no hiding outside, on the porch, in the parents room, upstairs, etc. try to keep it all on one floor if the house is more than one story tall).

They might start fighting after a few rounds of hide and go seek, so then I recommend playing Simon Says. Take turns being Simon. When it is your turn, have them do crazy stuff like jumping up and down in place, running in place, doing jumping jacks, etc. This will help them burn off some energy.

Next, pick out a movie that both the 6 and 4 year old will like. Pop some popcorn (or whatever snack the parents have deemed acceptable) and watch the movie with them.

If the parents will still be gone until after it is their bed time, then make sure to warn them at least 30 minutes before their bed time comes. I like to put on the movie right around the time that when the movie ends, it will be bed time for them. For example: "Okay guys, bed time after the movie is over. Brush your teeth and put on PJ's before we start the movie." Or if they don't want to watch a movie, warn them about an hour before bed time, then warn them again about 30 minutes before bed time. Make sure they are winding down about an hour before bed time though. That's why a movie or some TV is a good idea.

Good luck! Invite a friend if you don't feel comfortable, but that means 1/2 the money. However, nothing is worse than being in a house with 3 kids who you can't control. So a friend might be a good idea.

let the 6+4 yr old play with each other while you give the 1 year old attention and pop it off to bed, then play a 3+ board game with them or watch a children's movie. That's what i did for my little brothers while growing up.

If it's daytime and nice outside you can play outside.  My boys (7 and 5) love playing tag and hide & seek.  You can ask the parents if there is a place in the yard where digging is okay & try digging for worms, or seeing what bugs they can find.  It's also oaky to take normal "inside" activities outside.  If they have board games like chutes & ladders or candyland just pack them up, lay out a blanket on the grass & play under a tree.  My boys love doing just about anything outside (plus the sun wears them out & they're more than ready for bed when the time arrives).

If you have to stay inside you can still play hide & seek (NOT tag).  Board games, coloring, trucks, etc.  My boys like having a picnic in the living room, so when it's time for lunch or dinner you can lay out a blanket in the living room & feed them there.  You can take th couch cushions and a blanket to build a fort.  My boys LOVE building forts.

Have the kids make a project for their parents.  A welcome home sign, coloring pictures, etc.  They'll think it's neat to do something special for mom and dad.
