I have 2 cables that are just 6' long. I want to hook them together so it reaches from my monitor to my PC. What kind of adapter do I need? And if possible, if you could send a link it would be SO helpful to me. Thank you very much. (I have a Dell Inspiron with an upgraded video card and my monitor DOES have a DVI jack.)

  1. get it made from any computer technician because length may vary and take the cable and ask him to do the soldering of the connectors one sideof cable female connector will be required to connect them for cables having both side male plugs 15 Pin

  2. You need a Female to Female DVI adapter. Like this,

    http://www.directron.com/dvimtodvim.html

    (Check to see if I'm right first, 'natch! Most DVI cables have Male to Male ends. {A Male end is the one that has the pins. Female has the sockets.}

    So the Male end of the first cable goes into the vid card,{Female socket}, the other Male end goes into the adapter.{Female socket} The second cable's Male end goes into the adapter,{|Female socket}, and the other Male end of the cable goes into the monitor,{Female socket)

    (Read THAT real F-A-S-T Ten times!)
