  1. Czech L39 Delfins.  Trainers, and yes some are in private hands; in fact there's a couple at the North Las Vegas Airport.

Flankers are EASILY twice the size (roughly F14 dimensions) of these little guys.  You definitely won't confuse the Su27 with anything else when you've seen one.  The Red Star's on the Vertical Stabilizer, and was most likely painted by the owner.

  2. I can't really see the picture too well, but they could possibly be Czech-built L-39s. Definitely not Su-27s though.

  3. They're fighter aircraft, but because the picture is so small and doesn't reveal a lot of detail, it's very difficult to tell exactly what craft they are.  I note that each craft has a red star on the rear aileron, so I'm betting they're all Russian.  The one with its nose out in front of the others looks like it could be a Sukhoi SU-27, but I can't be sure...

  4. L-39. You can actually buy them sort of cheap. If I had the money id buy one just to fool around in.

    Look at this for-sale site.

  5. They are the KIND used for air to air combat - usually called a fighter.

    Good Luck...

  6. Yup those are Aero L-39 Albatross in formation. Had my eye on one, but got sold before I could get the financing. They sell like hot cakes because they are so sleek in design and easy to fly. Checkout some of the used aircraft sites, they will usually have one or two for sale.

one sight I check often is www.aso.com, very good sight for the dreamer and doer.

  7. They're Aero L-39 Albatros aircraft, light attack/recce and armed trainers.Developed by the Czechs and Soviet Union, first used by the Czech and Slovak air forces.Exports include Egypt and Tunisia.

  8. My best guess is these are either Czech-made  Aero L-39's or (former Yugoslavian) Serb made SOKO G-4 Super Galebs.   It's difficult to make a positive id from this picture.

Both types are trainers with ground attack capabilities.

If you have other pix of this plane, send them to me & I may be able to get you a positive id.

  9. they are most likely some sort of mig or something because of the red star on the tail

  10. Thoses planes are L-39s

  11. Most certainly L-39's. To the twit above "Sarg" you can obviously see they are not Sukhoi-27's and the thing with the red star on is NOT an aileron. that is the tail fin, or the rudder.

  12. Definitely the L-39, my friend even owns one/
