What kind of alcohol can u use to clean a straightener???

i have an original CHI straightener. im not really sure what kind of plates it is... can sumone please tell me??

and i was wondering what kind of alcohol do i use to clean the plates?

i dont have rubbing alcohol, but i do have some alcohol that is 70% isopropyl alcohol. would that work???

rubbing alcohol.. im sure the one you have will work just as finee =]

I do believe that is actually rubbing alcohol.  You should be able to clean it with just a damp cloth though.  That's what I use to clean mine.  The alcohol might damage anything on the plates and cause more damage to your hair.

I have the same thing I clean it with baby wips then dry it off that way I dont mess up the iron! try that first before alcohol

i would just use good ole soap and water thats what i do but make sure its not hot

yes...but be careful and make sure that it's not plugged in while you're cleaning!

what you have should work but I use baby wipes just in case :D
