What kind of ammo do airsoft guns have?

They're not BB's, right? An if you shot an eight year-old in the chest or leg, would it hurt?

Airsoft guns shoot plastic pellets, but you need to be aware that many towns and cities consider them firearms, and the laws regarding firearms apply.  That includes no discharge within city limits, proper storage, and transport.

You can get a ticket, or even arrested for ignoring the laws.

plastic pellets. if your wearing a hoodie you cant feel it. if your a girl and you have tight jeans it makes a slight sting but its not bad. but if you shot an eight year old on open skin it leaves a red bump so he might cry. if you get shot in the face it hurts you can put an eye out but my friend got shot in the eye but it was on its lid and he can still see. they do but rarely break the skin.

Airsoft guns shoot little, hard, plastic BB's.  Whether it would hurt or not depends on the gun.  I think that anything around 200fps should be pretty safe for an eight-year-old.

they shoot small plastic 6 millimeter BBs. they are completely harmless if eye protection is worn. although extremely high grade guns can cause small bruises, but any gun purchased for under $200 will not even break the skin.

Their a sort of plastic pellet and depending on how high powered the gun was would determine how much it hurt but my bro said it feels like getting pinched, he got shot with some sort of pistol airsoft gun.

they use 6 mlimeter diameter plastic bbs. they can weigh from .12g to .30g.

it all depends on the gun and what type clothes. loose baggy cloths wont hurt with walmart guns while tight cloths will. a guns FPS (feet per second) will affect the pain (200 barly anything, 300 little sting, 400 sting, over 400 could cause red marks and bleeding. it also depends on the distance your getting shot from too.
