  1. You sound too young to have a gun.

  2. How on earth did you get a gun.  We'll be reading about you in the paper in a few days.

  3. Caliber is .38. The bullet part of the cartridge is .38, 9mm, same size hole. Now it depends on the cartridge size that holds the powder. #57 holds more powder, therefore a bigger bang. .38 Special is the next size down. In a 357 you can fire .38 special rounds, but not visa versa.

38 caliber is an older gun, and is known a 38 S&W, and has a smaller powder than the .38 special charge. 9MM is an automatic cartridge and has a similar power as .38 special.

  4. Special. You know, like those classes you were in. I really think it would be a mistake for you to play with guns you know nothing about. Even that junk Taurus.

  5. You can use both .357 Magnum OR .38 Special, they'll both work in a .357 Magnum revolver. .38 Special costs less because it's a LOT less powerful. Yes, they have revolvers that are just .38 Special (You can't use .357 Magnum in these). Just get the .357 Magnum revolver, it's more versatile. And s***w these idiots that are "afraid" of you. Have fun!

  6. I'm sure if you call 911 they will take special care in explaining it to you.

  7. You seem to be very new to firearms and not very knowledgeable. My advice would be to find a local firing range ask about taking some classes through them or a qualified third party. They will help explain the firearm too you, answer your questions, and show you how to shoot. There is a wealth of information available at ranges if you just take advantage of it.

WILLIE- A firearm is NOT a toy and anyone operating one should know how to do so safely. We are "afraid" because we see the potential for a tragic accident in the OP's lack of knowledge about firearms. Loading a firearm with the wrong type of ammunition can, and has, resulted in the EXPLOSIVE DESTRUCTION of the firearm and serious or FATAL injuries to the shooter and/or bystanders.
