  1. Yeah you can have one amp for both subwoofers in two different ways. Either using a mono subwoofer amp or a 2 Channel amp. What you need to do is check on the subwoofer and see what the RMS wattage of the subs, then i would search on http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i22_c...

and see about which amp would be right for you. You want the subwoofer RMS wattage to be as close as possible to the RMS wattage of the amp. Also you want to see what the resistance of the subwoofers are and be sure with a 2 channel amp that the resistances are equal for the wattage. If you get a mono amp then you want to make sure you can wire the subs in a way that it will be a good resistance with the correct wattage (in the case of a mono amp each sub will get 1/2 of the RMS wattage rated on the amp).

    Example:

    2 Channel

    400 RMS @ 2 ohms x 2 channels

    200 RMS @ 4 ohms x 2 channels

    800 RMS @ 2 ohms x 1 channel (bridged)

    Mono

    400 RMS @ 2 ohms x 1 channel

    200 RMS @ 4 ohms x 1 channel

So if you use the mono amp in the example then if your subs are wired at 2 ohms then each sub would get about 200 watts RMS.

If you use the 2 channel amp then and the subs are at 2 ohms then each sub would get about 400 watts RMS.

I hope this helps and wasn't too confusing.
