I have this sub - http://electronics.pricegrabber.com/car-audio-subwoofers/m/2733300/details/st=product_tab/

I'm wondering at least how many watts does the amp need to be and how many channels?

  1. always try to match the RMS of the subwoofer and RMS of the amp the best you can. your sub is 300 RMS and get an amp that produced close to 300 RMS more or less. you will need a mono channel amp (easier to install) or a 2channel (bridged).

  2. you need a mono (1 channel) amp that puts out around 300 watts RMS at 4 ohm.
