  1. Ok, something you should understand....

RMS and MAX power are two different things. RMS is usual power, MAX is the max it can take. There is a big difference.

Whatever the amp you are looking at is, make sure that the RMS on the amp is slightly less or right about what the RMS for the sub is, and the MAX on the amp doesn't go over the sub MAX....That should work fine. Also, for one sub you shouldn't need anything new in the vehicle. Probably a 8 gauge power wire kit would be fine.

  2. That amp should be PERFECT for your sub IF the sub has dual 4 ohm voice coils. In fact, since they're both Kicker they were probably made for each other, and yes, an 8 ga wiring kit will be fine.

As for alt and battery, you should be fine unless you have some little econo-box car with a little bitty battery and alternator...like a Scion or something. Otherwise...you should be fine.

Something to keep in mind though...that amp you're looking at has a great price but it is refurbished so maybe it works for awhile, and maybe it doesn't. I hope that supplier will at least give you some kind of warranty. Good luck. Hope it sounds good.

  3. with that amp make sure you have a 4 ohm DVC sub
