Question:

What kind of amp would i need for two JL audio VRC 12w0-4 subs?

I dont know how many watts the speakers are. Any help is appreciated alot... Thanks

  1. Jesus, did you even look up the subs? they are entry level, no way they handle 1000W.

    The JL 12W0 4ohm subs are rated at 125 RMS, so look for an amp that is rated at 250W at 2ohm. You'll wire them in parallel to get the 2ohm load.


  2. i would say at least a 1000 watt amp i would perfer a rockfard fosgat but it is very expensive or jus the same brand as the speakers

  3. A 1000W amp??????????  On an entry level JL Audio sub???????  Not unless you like Kentucky Fired Woofers.

    A small monoblock amp at 250W RMS in a 2 ohm load will suit you fine.  If you like JL Audio, a JL 250/1 is a perfect match.
