i have a 30 gallon tank i wanted to keep geckos but i figured out that i cna make a nice vivarium for frogs ,toad or somethign else but i dont know which type of frog can i keep in 30 gallons

i had a red eyed tree frog before and i loved it and i want to keep it again

was at my local petstore today and i asked the reptile expert that they have there and he was that as long as the amphibians are not big enoguh ( to eat each other ) they should be fine and he gave me some good species to start with like : fire belly toad, fire belly newt, oregon newt, green tree frog, and other tree frogs and i like that idea i did lots of research already and i think that i will make it work but i dont know how to set up the habbitat

i thought about gettign an underwater filter to keep the water clean so i could have like 5,6 inches of water some branches, driftwood and maybe some live plants ( i love bamboo i have about 7 pots of it in my apartment) so maybe i could plant it inside the tank

but will i need some kind of special light( to keep them warm) or a normal fluroscent light will be good

  1. you could get a bull frog, fire bellied toads, colony  of grey tree frogs, no pac mans there are an over kill, mud puppy,

  2. A golden mantella.

  3. i think i would go with the firebelly toad, they are easy to care for, and easy to maintain the habitat, dont use substare that could cause inpaction such as small stones or bark, stick with moss and rocks larger than the size of their heads, if you decide to stick with this idea heres a good website with lots of helpful information
