What kind of anesthesia do you get for a tooth exposure?

The doctor said they will put someone thing in my nose, and not to eat anything or drink once i wake up. What kind of anesthesia will this be?

  1. If it involves waking up (I assume from sleep or unconsciousness), it's probably general anaesthesia, or maybe gas (which is what they usually administer in a dental ofc). You will need an anaesthesiologist or nurse anaesthetist to administer gen anaesthesia - way too expensive. They go through more years of educ than your dentist.
