What kind of ants are these and how do I get rid of them?

My house seems to be infested with these TINY little brown ants, about the size of 2 pencil dots each. Seems harmless enough.....NO!!!! I am I am starting to fear these things, they swarm certain areas, hundreds of them, just crawling around, especially where there is food, so I have been heavily cleaning and tightly storing food, but still they show up. Eeeeek, and when they bite, it itches like crazy!

Use as much bug spray as you can. If that doesn't work after a while then contact a professional bug exterminator.

Sounds like they may be carpenter ants, I've had a problem with them a little while ago too.  You can find ant traps at hardware stores, which have poison in them that the ants bring into their colonies and effectively kill the whole population.  If it gets really out of hand, you can always call an exterminator.

Their probably coming in from the outside, so go outside and stop them there.
