Question:

What kind of apple tree is in my yard?????

It produces dwarf looking green apples

(similar to granny apples) BUT, they also get red stripes(sort of like gala apple but green and red)...and they are very tart. I don't think they are crab apples, but i know they aren't granny smith either because they are not solid green.

  1. Here is a site with descriptions to a lot of apples. Some have photos and some do not. It's a lot of leg work to do but browse through them and see if you can find a match.

    Perhaps if you post a picture here, someone will be able to help identify it.

    I have a few at home that I am trying to identify too. I have a real dark purple one and a smallish red one that is just divine that I would love to know the name for. Best of luck to you. :)
