What kind of assignments did you do in Drawing I?

If you've taken a college-level drawing I course (or AP art), what kind of projects did you do? If you haven't taken a drawing I course, what kind of projects would you want to do??

ugh, my teacher had us do 5 tools, such as hammer, wrench, screwdriver, saw, etc. and the tool had to sort of morph into an insect.  The final project was a "map of self" that had to depict something about our life and personality or whatever.
