ok, so at the end of June, i'm going to Orlando, FL and to DisneyWorld and i have to have someplace to put all my stuff, but there isn't that much to take. just enough to not fit in my pockets, but not enough for a regular sized back pack. I need something that isn't too cheap, but small. My friend says that i'll look stupid if i carry around a backpack that's 8" X 2" X 6". Can you give me some suggestions of good bags that are small and preferably have a zipper? And please, no f***y packs. :)

  1. another suggestion... get a clear backpack. they check all bags when you go into the park. this way they will not have to open it and getting into the park much quicker.

  2. Ive seen many people wear those tiny little kid backpacks that don't have any little cartoons on them they are nice for caring small items, money and stuff like that. you can get them at walmart , target and other stores like that. I use one too they can be very handy some times.

  3. drawstring backpack  like this http://www.swimoutlet.com/ProductDetails...

The polyester flat ones with the drawstring handles.  However, is this your first time to Orlando and DW?  I go every year twice to Orlando and just got back.  I would advise you bring a small cooler and rent a stroller when you get in there.  A 20 ounce soda is 319 and the same size water is 269.  Florida is extremely hot.  Last August we went to DW and left after 21/2 hours because it was so hot and the lines were so so long.  It was pretty sad DW is for the littler kids and even those kids looked miserable because of the heat.  Also, wear swimsuits under your clothes.  There are misting areas and areas in the kid section to get wet and cool down.  Wear sunscreen! Also, if you want to save a bunch of money on Disney souveniers. go to Wal-Mart.  I got a big bag with all the  Disney princesses on it for 5 bucks and it was 12.99 in the park.  They have all the characters and even shamu etc.  including shirts, towels, mugs, magnets, postcards, shell things, picture frames, coolers, keychains,  jewelry mickey ear hats, etc. etc. etc.  I saved so much money doing this.  They have a few isles of souveniers.  but we bought those drawstring bags at Universal the first time we went and those are perfect for a few things you mention but you can buy those anywhere before your go for so cheap just get a well sewn one.  Have fun.  Florida is beautiful!  If you can go the luah in Seaworld, you have to make reservations.  Great family show

  4. Look at your local Wal-Mart for a "Back-Pack" style purse.  They make them.. I have a couple... they have enough room for your wallet, a camera, hairbrush and other odd and ends you might need (they come in sizes from real small to larger, pick a size that looks right for your stuff).  They are easy to carry around and leave your arms and hands free.  Most of them are zip closures but some aren't so look for one you like.

  5. Just get like a tote style purse, and it will be easiest to carry around. You don't want to be miserable because you have something to worry about the entire time, and it will get heavy fast.

  6. I'd totally avoid carrying a bag if I were you.  They get heavy, are easy to lose, tend to thump into other guests in line,  & are a pain on the rides.

I do a f***y pack (sorry, I know you said "no f***y packs") with my cash, ID, Dramimine, credit card and park tickets.  I stay on-property so anything I buy gets sent back to the room.

See if you can find a small bag that clips onto your belt or belt loops.  Also, any bag you carry in will have to be examined at the gate before you go in.

    :o)

  7. I got a over the shoulder bag at WalMart with Tink on it. I hung down to about my waist. I had my hands free and I could get into it without taking it off and on. I could put in to the right/left or on my lap during the rides, again without taking it off.

I also have use the over the shoulder purse from LLBean. It has a pocket on the outside perfect for a water bottle.

Looking stupid at Disney, please. You got grown men walking around with MM ears on. You will see every size purse and back pack out there.

  8. You can buy a "sack" backpack just about anywhere. These bags are usually made of cotton or nylon, are reasonably inexpensive, smaller than conventional packs, lighter weight and close with drawstrings.

I wore one of these at WDW just last week. It was comfortable and convenient. I actually bought it at WDW because like any dork, I had forgotten to bring one with me. It has a drawstring closure with a zipper pocket on the front of it. It worked just fine.
