  1. Okay i got it! She is definitely a Hoary Bat :)

    They eat moths, true bugs, mosquitoes, and other insects. You could try going down to a pet store and picking up a dozen large crickets and such. Definitely munchable! Try to keep the bat covered during the day, and give a lot of leave coverages as they spend a lot of time in thick foliage.

    Its definitely NOT a fruit bat. Fruit bats have large eyes and enlongated snouts not short stubby ones like this one.


  2. Wasn't it a dead bat?....y did he pick it up?  It looked like a fruit bat. I can't be positive though.

    From what I can find, he looks like a fruit bat. Plus those are the most common around cities & towns. Try giving him some nuts or banana. If he won't take it, mix water, sugar, & honey...sort of thin but still sweet and dip your finger in it. See if he'll take that, not to much, but bats need to eat. A half live insect might tempt him too.
