My son is a little over 2.5 years old, what kind of bed should i buy for him. Toddler beds are almost out of his weight bracket and I am scared of a twin size because I do not want him to fall out

  1. You just buy him a regular mattress and box spring.  If you are really afraid of him falling, put the matress and box spring on the floor, with no bed frame.  It will be a little lower.  They do sell bed sides that stop children from falling out of a twin size bed.  They sell them in kmart in the baby section.

  2. well if you want to skip the toddler bed you can get a twin size and get a couple of thise they really work good. i have some of the  rails that are on the side  of the bed its called one step ahead. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp... they have diffrent ones for little boys too. but i can't find any so this is the closes thing i could find. but go to wal mart or toys r us or any were to find them..

  3. Most people probably wont agree with me but I bought my 3 year old a set of bunk beds.  She sleeps on the bottom bunk but it is something that she can grow with.  She cant climb up top however because I havent put the ladder up yet.  I plan to wait a few more years before I put that on.

  4. You can buy him any kind of bed that you want.  When my son was that age we bought him a full size bed.  We chose to do this so he could have it forever.  We also bought bed rails so that it is safer.

  5. that's an easy one, you can by the regular size bed, if you are worried he will fall out just put the mattresses on the floor, or you can by a side rail this helps from falls.

  6. You could purchase a twin bed with out a box spring - just put it on a platform, then it will be closer to the floor for him to get off and on.  Also get some guard rails so he doesn't accidentally roll off at night.  Good Luck

  7.   get  him  a  twin  bed  already  ,get  the  one  with  railings  and  you  can  always  remove those  as  he  grow  older.......

  8. Buy a twin bed. You can buy rails to put on it, or start by just putting the boxspring and mattress on the floor without the frame so it is not so high, or just the mattress, until he gets used to sleeping in it. Also, if you push one side right up to the wall, you may find he will sleep close to that side of the bed. Good luck!

  9. Don't waste your money on a toddler bed, they aren't in them that long really so I would waste the $$. Go the twin size and just buy one of those safety rails for the side of the bed, if both sides are exposed - get 2 rails, they are perfectly fine, My 5yr old was in a twin bed at 18 months old with a safety rail and she was fine, so was my 3yr old when she was put in a twin bed at 18 months old, she still has the rail on, but I am actually taking it off today lol.
