I'm not judging anyone. And please don't tell me which ones are bad. I'm just curious how many people use what.

  1. if you have an old flannel shred that up mix it with shreded news paper and toilet paper

  2. Bedding for what? For my mice I used wood shavings. I just got a block of wood and planed the edge of it and then used the shavings. The mice loved it, they built nests and tunnels in it. Alternately I sometimes used shredded paper as a change, and they loved it even more. They got lost in it so easily. I tried leaves from the backyard but they caught mites from it so that didn't work. I don't buy bedding from pet stores cause it's a waste of money since I can get stuff that works just as well for free. My dad is into wood work so I've got a plentiful supply of shavings. Oh, just to clarify, it's wood shavings, not saw dust. Saw dust is way too fine and can cause respiratory problems.

  3. The care Fresh that looks like the shredded up egg cartons.

  4. With my mice, I used hemp bedding. Best stuff ever. Had two males and they didn't smell much at all, and the vet said it was an awesome choice of bedding.

I shall always use hemp as bedding with small rodents from now on, I'm not a big fan of the coloured carefresh (come on.. colours?!? That can't be good for them), but I would be willing to try mixing natural carefresh and hemp together.

  5. For my Guinea Pigs I fleece with a layer of towels under it.  But I wouldn't recommend this for animals that chew a lot.  (Saves money on buying bedding every week, but requires more maintenance)

I sometimes use a generic version of Care Fresh bedding or Aspen lined with newspaper.  (That way i can just roll it up!)

  6. I use aspen shavings for my gerbils. They didn't have any at the store, though, so I had to get carefresh ultra.

  7. Bedding for what?

I use CareFresh Colors for my hamsters and Sugar Gliders

    Pink for my Russian Girl

    Blue for my Russian Boy

    Purple for my Gliders

I use Repti-Bark for my Russian Tortoise

My Wolf Hybrid sleeps on a large dog bed/pillow that has his name on it

My dachshund usually uses my stomach as a bed when he sleeps.

I sleep on a queen sized mattress with Target green and blue striped sheets (or light blue flannel with cute penguins on it in the winter time)

Hehe. I am feeling rather cheeky tonight, I am assuming you only wanted the first (or maybe first two answers)

  8. newspaper

  9. I use this stuff thats blue but it come in a variety of colors, its soft and fluffy. It comes very compact. They usualy use it at like petsmart or petco I use it for my hamster i think he likes it

  10. Carefresh(Grey, sometimes colored litter) & Kaytee Soft-Sorbent.

  11. It depends on the animal. Different animals have different restrictions on the type of bedding they can have. You can check online for the bedding different types of animals should/should not have.

I personally have rats and had hamsters for many years.

My rats get "carefresh" bedding or the "soft and sorbent" bedding.

My hamsters got wood shavings, except for my last hamster. He only got carefresh because he was actually allergic to the wood shavings bedding.

  12. I lined the cage pan with layers of newspapers, than added an inch or two of the critter country pellets for snakes and reptiles, this sure keeps the smell way down and with the news paper under it the cage will be fresh for a week at least!!! you can add fluffy stuff for them to sleep on or in.. I save my TP rolls for them to play with and sleep in, or my old tissues boxes minus the plastic of course!!! GOOD LUCK

  13. I use Kaytee Soft Sorbant Rose(naturally scented)

EDIT: For my Hamster, that is.

  14. this is what is on the bag:

    BACK-2-NATURE

    small animal bedding & litter

    outstanding odor control

    virtually dust-free

    highly absorbent

    environmentally friendly

    recycled paper

reptiles, rodents, mammals and birds can use it

    i get 6L bags

really all it is is recycled paper thet rodent will chew on and it absorbs their smell and has virtuly no dust and you can just chuc it on the garden when your finished

  15. ok.......you can have wood chipings or you can go to the pet store and buy other kinds

  16. I have a Chinchilla and I only use Carefresh because wood shavings aren't good for Chinchillas.  For my guinea pigs I use Aspen shavings because it is the best of the wood shavings.
