What kind of bee do i have , is it harmful ^n^?

theirs this bee that's in my front porch right were the light is and its really freaking me out. its long skinny black an yellow striped. it makes a real loud buzzing sound. and it made a cocoon shaped house on the porch light. i want to now if its harm full in any way and if so what can i do to get rid of it. thank you. ^_^ ^o^ ^-^ ^u^ ^o^

That is a wasp and you should get a professional to remove it, they can be dangerous in large groups (the wasp not the professional). For now, just don't go near it.

What is it making the cocoon out of.  A paper like grey material, mud? How are you positive it is not a wasp?  Where are you located?
