I am trying to figure out more about this bike and what it is potentially worth. Can anyone help? What I've figured out so far is, it is a Specialized Allez Men's Bicycle. It says "A1 Enhanced butted aluminum direct drive", on the rims it says "alexrims da16", the tires are continental 23-622, 700x23c, ultra gator skins", the handle bars say "shimano sora flightdeck triple". I think that is all the writing on it. What year is it? What is its actual make/model name? Also, what it is worth? Any help would be appreciated!

  1. This link might help you find which year your bike is from it has photos and specifications from the different models:

The value of the bike will depend on the age of it and the condition that it is in.

  2. Simply put   . . . .it's a Specialized[name of company] Allez![model]

There is no way I could tell you what year it is (they still make them), or it's worth!.

It's a reasonable Sora powered entry level bike, similar to the Giant OCR3 !

EDIT: Rachel - are you wanting to buy or sell this bike?

if you have any decent pics or a link (from ebay etc), then, please upload them so I/we can have closer look and give you a better opinion, - up to you?

  3. This is a Specialized Allez road bicycle.  The model you are describing is the entry level model.  It is a solid and durable model.  It is hard to determine the model year with what you described, but the Sora drive train was introduced around 1999.  The nice thing about road bikes is that the technology and value has not changed much since 1999.  Try to find out if it has a carbon bladed fork, if so, it is at least a 2001 model.  This model has sold new for about $500 the last eight years.
