I am looking to get a dirt bike for my grandpa so he can follow me around the track at our house he is 5'9" 170lbs I am looking for a four stroke (two strokes scare him) that has a mellow throttle response but still has power and is comfortable in the saddle and isn't extremely loud

  1. look into lifan, they make a cheap bike that is quiet? My son has had 1 for 3yrs now and has not had one problem.

  2. may I suggest a Yamaha R1 ...1000 cc of pure speed demon should get gramps heart rate up....let's hope he does not have a heart condition. I hope his medical insurance is paid up for when he comes off and breaks both hips. happy ridin' grandpaw !

  3. CRF150F, mellow, decent power, not loud, easy to ride, 4 stroke, easy to maintain.

Or if he wants some more power, maybe a CRF230F is better suited to him.

They both have electric start, so they are very easy to use.

  4. It would have been more helpful if you told us his age and physical condition.

I assume he won't be racing going flat out?  Maybe a Kawasaki KLX 140?

  5. get a bus or truck

  6. Easy one...definitely go for a Honda CRF230 or Yamaha TT-R230. The CRF150 will be cramped for a 5'9" person. The 230's also have electric start which he would probably appreciate.
