    That's an Eastern Robin.

  2. Yes they are robins eggs

  3. A Robins egg.Yup

  4. First of all you should have left the eggs in the nest..it is very possible that the other parent would have continued to incubate the eggs...in many bird species both parents will tend to the eggs or chicks.  At this point you should take the eggs/chicks to a local wildlife rehab for their best chance of survival.  Also it is illegal for you to have these eggs in your possession no matter how good your intentions are.  Look for a local rehab here:

Also, please considered keeping your cat indoors where it will be safer and will not harm native wildlife.

  5. It's very difficult to identify a bird just from its eggs. You'd need to know the shape, size and location of the nest. The country and region you're in and the colour, shape and size of the bird itself. If you've seen the mother bird you could look in a bird guide and see if you find one that matches and then check if that bird is found in your area and if its eggs and nest match those you have. If you could email that information to me I could look it up for you if you wanted or you can do it yourself. My mum's a bird watcher so if she knows what the adult looked like she'd probably be able to tell you what it is. Hope this helps. Good luck.
