  1. Depends on the horse

Usually the recognized bit is the Snaffle Bit

  2. Low levels of dressage mainly go on snaffles (loose ring, etc). Higher levels will go into double bridles and curbs. For what you seem to be asking about, I'd say snaffle bits would be the best. It's the main bit for starting horses, and almost any horse can go in one.

  3. it depends on the horse. usally it the regular snaffle bit........................................

                                  good luck with those lessons

  4. Prelim and novice dressage must be ridden in a snaffle.  This can be a D ring, Boucher (dropped snaffle), french link, eggbutt, etc.  A snaffle is a relatively gentle bit and as children are learning they may not be particularly light in the hand it reduces the amount of effect they could have on the horse's mouth.

A stronger bit should never be a substitute for good training.

  5. snaffle,,

    D ring

  6. snaffle or slow twist that always does the trick.  If they r strong maybe a cork s***w, and if they r REALLT strong, then a double wire.  If they r EXTREMELY soft, then I reccomend a hackamore.

    hope I helped

  7. it depends on the horse. if the horse is easy going and very safe, just use a d-ring snaffle. then increase as the horses get harder to control

  8. Use a plain snaffle..I use a full cheek snaffle, but any snaffle without shanks is a good choice for training.
