What kind of bite is this?

my mom got bit by something we think but we dont know what it is, when she was first bit it was very red and enflamed now it is just red with a mark in the middle so we think it was a spider, does anyone know? http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n299/ryanfan123/momsbite.jpg

I think it's probably a spider bite but if it starts to swell it could be a staph infection. If it looks worse I would go to the hospital.

It looks like a spider bite as you say.  Do you live in Australia because it looks like a white tail bite and they are a bit nasty, you put canasten cream on them which is an antifungal cream it seems to help heal the wound.

Could be brown recluse spider bite, usually dark spot in center, hard, red tissue that is very tender  and warm to the touch surrounding it-needs treatment with an antibiotic.
