Its a Boy Scout camp in Dan Beard Council and I went there this past week and really enjoyed the archery class and I want to buy a bow like the ones they use. SO does anyone that has been there know the brand of bow they use. It was a 30lb draw weight and had red lettering on the limbs. They said they would be around 100 dollars. Thanks =]

  1. For $100, have a look at the Bullseye from Internature, the Buckeye from PSE, or the Roland Dakota.  Red lettering doesn't really ring a bell, but check out those bows and see if any of them looks about the same, those bows are the ones most commonly used by camps nowadays.  There's also an entry level bow from KAP, the Surprise that's ok looking, but just ok.

If I had to choose between the first three above I'd go with the Bullseye from Internature, sight window is larger than the buckeye and the limbs are better built than the Roland.

  2. They appear to be PSE take-down recurves, but the picture detail isn't all that great (I found some pictures on a Camp Friedlander website).

3Rivers Archery has a selection of good youth bows:

although they are not PSE bows. Actually, I think the youth bows from 3Rivers are better than PSE's.
