  1. read the top of your brake fluid cap.  it should say right on it.  i think dot 4 in those years, but check to make sure.  if the cap doesn't say, call your local Ford dealer, he can tell you.

  2. DOT#3

  3. Id use dot 5.1 if you use your breaks heavily, if not 4.1 will be fine.

  4. Dot 3 or better.  Don't ever, ever do word of mouth on "what should I use."  A book came with the ford and you can check with auto zone.  What if I would have said some foreign name and swore it was the right brake fluid and you get two other answers the same, and its not.  Don't trust people with some of these answers, understand where to go for yourself/

  5. Assuming that this vehicle is built for the North American market, the Owners Manual for that vehicle says "Ford High Performance DOT 3 Brake Fluid". Of course manufacturers always say to use their own brand, but in the case of Brake Fluid, there are stringent specifications that must be met, so any brand that meets DOT (Department of Transportation) 3 specifications should be fine. (as long as it's not like counterfeit or something) Mixing with DOT 5 is not recommended, as it is synthetic. And although technically speaking there is a DOT 4 standard, I have never actually seen any for sale. DOT 5 can be used for it's superior temperature handling characteristics, but it is recommended that you completely flush the entire brake system if you want to change over.

  6. Use DOT 3 or DOT 4  as that's what is in it. DON'T use Dot5 it will not mix with regular brake fluid..........ujn

  7. It doesn't really matter...any brake fluid will do.
