What kind of bug bite disappears after about an hour???

I moved in to a new place and I've done tons of reading about bed bugs and fleas but so far I haven't found anything like that but I'm not ruling it out just yet. My bites don't really seem like those kind of bites. I get little random ones that are perfectly round and welted and not really that red and they're usually just one here or there and then they disappear within and hour or so. I had a bigger one on my shin today that looked all welted and was a couple of inches long but it wasn't very red and then it went away shortly after...??? Anyone have a clue about this? I don't at all. It's pretty frustrating.

  1. What you are describing is the difference between different people and how they react to bites.  You may also react to the same species of insect differently based on how much of the insects fluids entered your body.  For the most part bite reactions are not characterized except for harmful bites.  Either because that insect/spider gives a harmful bite or one that some people react to the bite.  You might try the health sites to see if some nurse recognizes your bite, but I suspect you will get a lot of mosquito guesses.

  2. That happens to me with regular mosquito bites. They look all horrible and then before you know it, they're gone.
