This morning I walk into my kitchen and look in the sink and there is the nastiest looking insect ever in there! It was about two inches long and the body of it was long and thin like a centipede but its legs were like spider legs, really long and he has a LOT of them, also like a centipede but each leg was about an inch or longer. it was soooooooo nasty looking and its been giving me the creeps ever since. its fairly light in color like light brown and tan almost striped. This is the 2nd time we've found one in the sink. my husband did a few months ago. could they be coming up the drain? we rent an apartment so who knows what kind of hidden messes are around from prior tenants but I keep the kitchen very neat and clean. there was no food out or dishes in the sink. any idea of kind of bug it was? it was like a Long spider with lots of legs. way more than 8. HELP!

    hope it helped

  2. from the description you gave that the legs were "spider" like sounds more of a House Centipede rather than a millipede. Either way they did not come from the drain, they found exit from the wall around the counter top and found their way to the sink where once there they couldn't escape.   Millipedes will be an outside problem getting in,,,house centipede will probably be living in the structure, found near moisture

  3. I think what you are talking about is a Centipede. They are VERY gross and VERY ugly. They are probably coming up the drain so plug your drain when you aren't using the sink and they shouldn't be able to get up. If I were you I would plug and other drains when they aren't in use as well just to be sure.
