What kind of bug/insect is this and is it dangerous?

except the body is black with white stripes,

the legs are red at the tops and black near the bottom,

it has an intennas that are black then white then black again...

so do you know what this bug is and is it at all dangerous..

sorry this is kinda a stupid question but i just found one in the kitchen and it freaked me out when I saw the tail or stinger or whatever it is lol...But I have never seen one of these before either...

so thanks for all and any help

I thought it was a mayfly, but no... the pix are different..

I wouldnt think it was dangerous, a stinger that long would be useless.

im pretty sure this thing can not hurt you. that long stinger-looking thing is actually what they stab into the ground to lay their eggs. it does look like a big stinger, though

I have never seen anything like but i can tell you one thing that tail thing is nothing to worry about I'm guessing its a june bug which those are harmless the only harm they do is getting on your nerves like flys lol lol
