It's all black. Looks to have wings but I didn't see it fly.

I think its a beetle or a cocaroach

It's an Assassin Bug.  They feed on other insects that they catch and suck the juices out of with their long, pointed proboscis.  Don't handle it or you just might get stabbed.  They ARE beneficial, so release it back into the wild.
