They are brown and are about a little less than a centimeter to an inch long. They are skinny and long with short legs but long antennae. I find them mostly in the bathroom and usually only come out at night. They hide in dark space like cracks or under moldings, carpet, rug etc. They tend to stay on the floor but I occasionally see them on the wall. They almost look like an earwig kinda without the pointy things on its butt. It also looks more scaly than earwigs. I almost never see these bugs outdoors either. These are the only bugs in my house, I dont get ants and very rarely spiders. So help me identify these bugs so I can get rid of them!

  1. Kinda sounds like a Termite. If you are close to a Master Gardner program they can tell you what you got.

  2. Sounds like cockroaches to me.

  3. I hate to tell you the bad news, but what you are describing is a German cockroach.

Capture several in a glass jar and visit a garden store and they will have Ortho book on these insects. Also they will have the chemicals to start to control them.

Don't wait before they multiply. You might consider an exterminator.

  4. My guess would be silver fish but since they are brown I dunno. I know silver fish have the same qualities as you described except they are silver. They like dark places, glue, bottoms of carpets. Call a terminator if you cant get rid of them on your own. Good luck hope this kinda helps!
