What kind of bugs live in the Olympic Peninsula?

I want more then anything to move to the Olympic Peninsula, probably Forks or Port Angeles, and I was just wondering, with all that rain and plant life, what kind of bugs we're talking about. you know, I mean are there MASS amounts of bugs just EVERYWHERE, or is it pretty much just like everywhere else?

I've got a major bug phobia, all bugs, even butterflies, we're talking serious hyperventilation here, and I plan to move there regardless, I'm just wondering how prepared I need to make myself.

thanks for your help!!

  1. well,

ants, spiders, to name a few.  there are many bugs.

i wish you the best in combatting your phobia.

  2. As far as bugs go, we don't have that many out here.  Mostly you'll find the average mosquito, fly, gnat, beetle, moth, spider etc.  We don't have cockroaches or giant bugs of any kind.  The biggest "yuck" we have is big house spiders. Sometimes they come inside when it gets cold outside and you find them in your tub. They are harmless - just squish it or catch it and put it outside. (These are everywhere - not just here!)

  3. I have no idea, probably not many since it always rains. but did you know that the best book series ever created takes place in the Olympic Peninsula? Forks, Washington to be exact. It's called Twilight
