What kind of business career would be best?

i am about ready to go to schol for a business certificate program. where would be the best place to work. a bank? school office? or just a secretary? I want something with good pay too and great benefits. i am currently a cna, and it sucks. what kind of pay do these titles start out with .

It all depends.  And great pay and great benefits might be hard to come by until you get a little experience. I'm not making much hourly right now, but my health insurance is almost completely covered, they match my retirement, and I have 2 1/2 weeks of sick pay and 3 weeks of vacation to start. This is with a bachelors in business administration and accounting.

And a business certificate program?  What is that exactly?  It's not an actual degree right?  To find a job, I'd suggest looking at different websites. I actually looked at my state website and it allowed me to narrow my choices depending on what I was looking for (full-time, accounting, 0 experience, etc).  My recommendation would be to look in a field that you're interested in being in, but not necessarily the end job you're looking for--sacrificing for a couple of years will be worth it if you can get the experience to look for something closer to what you want to do.

Sounds like you should talk with school adviser. If you worked at a bank you could get a job like a teller to start with & could move up to a loan adviser or something like that. I don't know what kind of pay they get but go to salary.com and you can look there. By the way, it is no longer secretary, it is administrative assistant. If you are going back to school maybe an aptitude test would help you decide what you would be good at and you might want to invest in a full 4 years of college. RN's, pharmacist,  laboratory technologist, even CPA's are going to be in a shortage soon so you might want to consider those. Good Luck!

Well office work in the medical field would probably better and different than what you are doing now!
