What kind of bussiness structure do i form to protect my business from my personal tax liability?

I am starting my own catering company here in austin texas and i want to know what kind of business structure i need to form.

As the result of a divorce, i have a lot of back taxes and bad credit. I need to know how to protect my small business from my personal c**p.

  1. Shoot for an LLC (limited liability corp.) because it will safegaurd you and is quite feasable to acquire.
